GARD Has partnered up with St. Anne Parish for their "Christmas Baskets 2020 & COVID-19"

Here is a message from St. Anne parish!

We at St Anne Parish are going to have to do the baskets differently this year! In trying to find the safest way to help our friends & neighbors this Christmas. Along with First Parish and others in our community we are able to assist those in need this Christmas.

Last year, we helped approximately 110 families and 130 children. I am in the middle of signing up the recipients at the food pantry. We will have an exact count just before Thanksgiving.

If in the past you have generously donated food; this year, we are asking that you purchase Hannaford Gift Cards in increments of $25 instead of purchasing food. We will not be giving out food. We are hoping that each family will receive a minimum of $25 for groceries. A parishioner is purchasing separate gift cards for all the turkeys.

If you have generously donated toys or clothing either by taking a tag or unwrapped toys for the parents to choose from, we are asking that you buy a Walmart or Target gift card for $25. All children from birth to 18 (still in school) will be given a gift card. We will be distributing the Christmas Baskets on Dec. 12, so the parents themselves will be able to shop for the children.

When the parents pick up the gift cards, it will be drive up only on Saturday, Dec. 12th from 1 to 3 pm.

I am requesting that the cards be marked with the amount on the cards and put in the collection box at church. Teresa is at St. Anne’s office on Wednesdays & Thursdays. If you are one who live-streams the Mass or are not comfortable going to the stores, please feel free to call me and I will meet you somewhere to pick up the gift cards or cash. Checks can also be made out to St Anne church (please note Christmas Baskets). Please feel free to call me if you have any questions.

Thank you & God Bless You!
